Best Surveillance System

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Customers from Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, Deerfield Beach, Boynton Beach, Pompano Beach and many other places in Southern Florida have asked, “What is your best surveillance system?”

Every customer has a different need. A customer in Pompano Beach may only need two cameras while another customer in Miami may need 14 cameras. A customer in Fort Lauderdale may want a baby monitoring system that only requires one camera but needs that camera to record in total darkness (a night vision infrared camera). Yet another customer in West Palm Beach may need only one camera but it must be an outdoor camera that is waterproof and can record audio. Each of these systems is truly the best surveillance system for that customer.

Outdoor Security Cameras

Monday, June 7th, 2010

In Southern Florida outdoor security cameras are a definite advantage, if not a requirement, in providing you with complete security coverage. Digital video outdoor security cameras can provide high clarity color video, are easy to install, can be used in almost any situation, and are affordably priced.

Outdoor security cameras are for business as well as residential use. In fact the best way to providing 24/7 perimeter monitoring to any business or residence is by using a digital video surveillance system with outdoor cameras. Although outdoor security cameras may not be able to stop a crime, they certainly can alert you to one in progress, and more importantly record and document the individuals and/or property involved.

Infrared Security Cameras

The burglary rates for Southern Florida metropolitan areas are considerably larger than national average. For example, Boynton Beach has a burglary rate 1.53 times the national average. Other Southern Florida cities have even larger burglary rates:
•       Fort Lauderdale is 1.69 times the national average;
•       West Palm Beach is 1.96 times the national average; and
•       Miami is 2.53 times the national average

Although not all burglaries are committed in the dark, the majority of burglaries are committed at night time. If you’ve got something in the dark to protect in Southern Florida, don’t you think an infrared (IR) security camera is a wise investment?

Wireless Security Camera System

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Wireless security camera systems are the “wave” in Southern Florida beach communities. For that matter, they’re popular throughout the entire Southern Florida area. Considering the fact that most Southern Florida malls have no security cameras in their parking lots, it would appear that there should be a definite need for a wireless security camera system.

Whether it’s a casino in Pompano Beach, a mall in Palm Beach County, or a residence in Broward County, a wireless security cameras system can provide the surveillance and monitoring that you need.

Here’s an excellent example of how a wireless security camera system could have benefited a recent Southern Florida crime victim:

Monitor Employees

Monday, June 7th, 2010

According to an article in the Jacksonville Business Journal, the cost of workplace crime exceeds the amount Southern Florida businesses spend on office space and commercial rentals each year. Perhaps the solution to this situation would be a good digital video camera security system to monitor employees.

The Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics performed a study from 1992 – 1996 which determined that approximately 2 million Americans a year become workplace crime victims. According to a study by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health the number one cause of death for women at work is murder, and it’s the number two cause for murdered men at work, with an average of twenty-one Americans murdered each week at work. A digital video camera security system may not be able to stop any of these things from happening, but it can be a very strong deterrent.

Watch Your Business From Home

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Did you ever think you would be able to watch your business from home?

The 2009 Forbes magazine ranked Miami as number 9 in the Top 10 Most Miserable Cities in the country. The ranking was based on nine different factors, one of which was commute times. Not that Southern Florida is the only place in the country that has long commute times, however Orlando and Tampa also made the top ten worst commute list. Wouldn’t you like to able to stay at home on those really bad commute days and watch your business from home?

Pan-Tilt-Zoom Cameras

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Pan-tilt-zoom or PTZ cameras have the freedom of mobility to move about a horizontal and vertical axis thereby increasing the field of view for the camera. In fact in some situations one PTZ camera may be able to perform the work of two or more stationary cameras. In addition, the zoom function allows combination’s of lenses to create telephoto enlargements for better clarity of objects that may be too far away from a normal camera lens.

Business Security Camera System

Friday, June 4th, 2010

A business security cameras system is a must for businesses in Southern Florida. It can protect a business from both external and internal adverse events.

According to an article in the April 5, 2005 Jacksonville Business Journal, the Florida Attorney General (at that time) Charlie Crist said, “Whether it’s a business unaware of an internal fraud problem or an employee afraid to walk to her car every night, crime takes a serious toll on Florida’s workplaces . . .Fortunately, much of this crime is preventable. . . . businesses need more information about their security risks and how to reduce them.”
